It shouldn't be so hard
to
learn what people think.

MEET RELAY

Traditional opinion research is one-size-fits-all. It’s expensive, slow, and doesn't match the modern behaviours of Canadians. Opinions and issues change fast! We offer new ways to hear from Canadians that match your pace and budget.

PIONEERING
QUALITATIVE
RESEARCH

fast. Natural. Meaningful

Relay's award-winning methodology breathes new life into qualitative research.

Personal narrative is critical to developing strategies that break through. But not every research question needs to be answered by a 2-hour focus group.

Instead, we treat participants like... people! Sometimes a text message will suffice, sometimes you need a quick chat and yes, sometimes you need a thorough discussion. It all depends on what you're trying to achieve!

Regardless of the approach, all methods use our in-house digital-first participant recruitment, allowing for high quality, speed, and ongoing engagement.

TEXT SNAPSHOT

Most people fire off dozens of text messages a day. We describe our experiences, hopes,  and fears when texting friends. Why not in research?

Text Snapshot allows for a quick and flexible investigation of how your audience thinks and feels. Each interview is 7-8 questions in length. Responses are aggregated and analyzed using the latest AI.

Check out the work we conducted for the Liberal Party of Canada during the 2021 Federal election.

RAPID IDIs

In-Depth-Interviews are the perfect solution when you need talk through an idea with a participant, or see their reaction to advertising concepts.

They're 30-minutes, conducted online and can be implemented in a matter of days. Best of all, they're free of groupthink. When you notice a trend, you can be confident it's real.

We pull interviews clips and quotes so you can fully understand participant perspectives and bolster your advocacy efforts.

MICRO FGs

Sometimes a group dynamic is important, but unfortunately, we don't fully hear the perspective of each participant in larger focus groups.

Our Micro Focus Groups are conducted online with 3-5 participants and are 1-hour max. Participation is more accessible without sacrificing depth.

We compile clips into a highlight reel so you can understand what happened in each group without spending your evenings sitting in the observation room.

SURVEY
RESEARCH

Creative. Strategic. Accurate.

Acting without quality, representative data is a big risk. In our experience, those closest to an issue aren't always the best judge of what Canadians think and what would make them feel differently. This is where Relay comes in.

We are experts at crafting questions that build winning strategies, inform policy development, and make headlines.

OMNIBUS QUESTIONS

Need to quickly capture public opinion? Our omnibus survey runs every few weeks and is a great tool for responsive communications and advocacy.

1 question - $800

3 questions on the same survey - $2000

10 questions to be used within 6 months - $5000

CUSTOM SURVEYS

Tell us a policy area, and we'll bet we've polled on it. Our custom surveys are nimble and responsive to your varied objectives.

STAKEHOLDER SURVEYS

Understanding the attitudes and experiences of your members is critical to effective advocacy and relationship building. Our stakeholder surveys get you the answers you need to act, affordably.
